Pedro Granadillo
Pedro Granadillo leads by example. A former Eli Lilly & Company executive, Granadillo became a participant in the Executive Health Program when he retired from Lilly a few years ago. Experiencing what he describes as an "outstanding" program, he has been diligent when it comes to having his annual physicals. He also has been the driving force behind his family's participation. "My daughter-in-law and son are going to go see Dr. Busk and my wife already has her physical scheduled," Granadillo says. "You're never too young to start focusing on your health." (read more)


C. Perry Griffith, Jr. C. Perry Griffith, Jr.
Perry Griffith has a simple reason for why he joined the Executive Health Program. "I wasn't in good shape physically," he explains. "I was in my late 40s, hadn't had a physical in 10 years, my cholesterol was high, and I wanted to turn things around." Now in his early 50s, Griffith has done just that-turned things around. Julie Johnson
Julie Johnson has a lot on her shoulders. When it comes to wellness, not only does she oversee her own health program, she monitors the well being of 3,700 employees at Wabash National. As the organization's occupational health manager, Johnson is involved in everything from making sure employees have access to flu vaccinations to overseeing health fairs and wellness workshops nationwide. She also administers the Executive Health Program for the company's top executives. (read more)


Tom and Betty Lofton Tom and Betty Lofton
Neighbors of Betty and Tom Lofton could almost set their clocks based on the Lofton's ritual of taking an evening walk. "Betty and I are walkers. We've been walking together for years," Tom says. Betty notes, "Tom comes home from work and says, 'Let's go.' We walk together every evening." (read more)



Constance E. Lund
Connie Lund has walked in the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini Marathon three times and was honored to drive the pace car in the wheelchair division this year. Even with such energy and dedication to fitness and sport, Lund appreciates the Executive Health Program keeping her on track in regard to her wellness schedule. "To me it's one of the best benefits because they make it so easy to get checked every year," she notes, adding, "They are on time, organized, and add a personal touch. Cathy and Larry Teghtmeyer Cathy and Larry Teghtmeyer
Cathy and Larry Teghtmeyer have both lost siblings to cancer. So it should come as no surprise that they are strong advocates of preventive testing and make it an important part of their personal healthcare. "If we have problems, we want to head them off early," Cathy notes. "In Larry's case, I think being involved in Executive Health has been a life saver." (read more)


Victoria Yamasaki Victoria Yamasaki
Vicki Yamasaki became involved in the Executive Health Program in 2005 because it was a healthcare benefit offered by her employer, OneAmerica Financial Partners. "Our entire management committee is involved in the program, she says." "The company is very focused on health and wellness, which is always a good thing from the perspective of prevention." Robert Zaltzberg Robert Zaltzberg
As editor of the Bloomington Herald Times, Bob Zaltsberg works with words. He has become particularly fond of two words, EARLY and DETECTION. As a patient, he knows firsthand the benefits of discovering illness in its initial stages and when he describes his personal road to better health, he does so, "in chapters," a fitting way for the editor to depict his journey.
