Clinical Interests:Dr.Vuppalanch's clinical interests include management of cirrhosis, non-alcoholic fatty liver, chronic hepatitis C and B, Primary Biliary Cirrhosis, Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, alcoholic liver disease and drug induced liver injury.
Research Interests:His research interests include pathogenesis and therapy for nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and drug induced liver injury (DILI). His other research interests include studying alterations in drug metabolism in patients who underwent gastric bypass and patients who have cirrhosis. He is currently working on understanding the pathogenesis and treatment of muscle cramps in patients with cirrhosis.
