Bio

Dr. Lindsey Kennedy obtained her PhD in Medical Science in May 2019 from Texas A&M University Health Science Center, and was also awarded the Graduate Award in Research Excellence given to one matriculating PhD student at graduation. Following her PhD training, she joined Indiana University School of Medicine as a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. During her post-doctoral training, she was awarded the Autoimmune Liver Disease Pilot Award from the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases Foundation, as well as a Career Development Award-2 from the VA. She is currently an Assistant Research Professor at Indiana University School of Medicine, and a Health Science Specialist at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. Her lab studies the crosstalk between bile duct cells and endothelial cells mediated by angiocrine signaling during cholestatic liver diseases. She also studies the role of estrogen in mediating sexually dimorphic outcomes in cholestatic liver diseases.
