Biographical Summary:

Dr. von der Lohe is regarded in the Connolly Guide as one of the top cardiologists in the country for women's health. She received her undergraduate degree from the University Aachen, Germany, where she also completed her medical degree and residency.

A faculty member of the Indiana University School of Medicine since 1994, Dr. von der Lohe shares her expertise with numerous professional organizations. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. She has authored articles on gender differences in coronary heart disease and has written two books about coronary heart disease in women. In 2004, Dr. von der Lohe was recognized for her work in Good Housekeeping.

She is a Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the Indiana University School of Medicine and the Krannert Institute of Cardiology. Dr. von der Lohe is the medical director of the Women's Heart Program at Indiana University. Dr. von der Lohe is an interventional cardiologist and also serves as the Director for the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program at Indiana University. She has a particular interest in coronary artery disease in women as well as in pulmonary hypertension.
